High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP)

HSAP Suspension - Effective Immediately

Please take note of this important information for HSAP students, and parent/guardians. After April 17, 2020 hours worked as a High School Apprenticeship Program student will no longer count towards high school credit, until further notice.

Parents/guardians may give students permission to continue to work, but for the time being HSAP has been suspended. Students should remember that they have the right to refuse work if safety concerns are not addressed.

If students were working up to April 17 please send all up to date hours by email on a completed hour sheet. BUT PLEASE CONTINUE TO TRACK YOUR HOURS because there may be a possibility for you to claim those hours back retroactively.

If you are graduating, if possible, HSAP teachers plan to meet with you in some way to explain your transition to post-secondary apprenticeship before the end of June.

Please feel free to ask questions.

Welcome to the High School Apprenticeship Program

The High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP) is an exciting program that allows students in high school the opportunity to explore and pursue trades training.

Enrolled HSAP students become supervised workers who learn trade skills and trade knowledge while working at a local employer.

HSAP is proudly offered to students in Border Land, Garden Valley, Red River Valley and Western School Divisions.
